Regular Submission Rate: $10 per image submitted

Exhibition Acceptance Fee: $50 per accepted image

Submitted photographs will be reviewed by our panel of judges.

Selected works will be exhibited during the opening night of the show and become part of the curated exhibition.

Original Work

All entries must be the original work of the submitting artist. Photographers must own the copyright to all submitted images.

Image Format & Resolution

Images may be submitted in either portrait or landscape orientation.

Files should be a minimum of 300 PPI for print quality.

Images must be at least 1024 pixels on the longest edge.

Accepted file formats are JPEG (.jpg) and TIFF (.tif).

Image Preparation

To ensure a clean and consistent presentation throughout the exhibition, please submit images without watermarks, logos, borders, or signatures.

Non digital submissions, including physical prints, slides, or film negatives, cannot be accepted.

Editing & Authenticity

Editing and post processing are welcome. However, photographs should remain true to the original image and not rely heavily on digital manipulation, compositing, or significant alterations to the scene.

HDR, panoramic, and stitched photographs are accepted.

Exhibition Preparation

To ensure a cohesive presentation, the exhibition organizers reserve the right to make reasonable crops or minor adjustments necessary for printing and display purposes.

Titles & Descriptions

Organizers may make minor edits to image titles or artist statements for spelling, grammar, punctuation, or formatting consistency. Any substantive changes will not be made without consultation.

Rights & Permissions

Artists retain full copyright ownership of their submitted work. By entering, you grant The Shape of Humans permission to use submitted images for exhibition related promotion, marketing, and event materials, with full credit provided to the artist whenever possible.

Naming Your Files

All submitted files must be named using the participant's full name

Ex: Title_FirstName_LastName_Number (Title_Jane_Doe_001.jpg)

Final submission payment is put toward covering the cost of printing and framing.

We encourage all participating artists to attend the event. It will be a great opportunity to connect with fellow creatives, engage with guests, and celebrate your work!

Doors open at 5 PM

Winners will be announced at 8PM

The show will wrap up at 9 PM

Light snacks and refreshments will be provided

Artists retain full copyright and ownership of all submitted images.

By submitting work to The Shape of Humans, you grant the exhibition organizers permission to use your submitted images for purposes related to the exhibition, including promotion, marketing, press coverage, social media, website content, printed materials, and future exhibitions produced under The Shape of Humans name.

Images may be resized or cropped as needed for promotional materials, website formatting, or exhibition display. Whenever possible, photographers will be credited wherever their work is featured.

This permission is non-exclusive, meaning artists remain free to use, publish, sell, or license their work elsewhere at any time.

The exhibition organizers do not claim ownership of any submitted work and will not sell, license, or otherwise distribute images to third parties without the artist's prior consent.

While reasonable efforts will be made to protect submitted images, The Shape of Humans cannot be held responsible for unauthorized use by third parties.

If any opportunity arises to use an image beyond exhibition related promotion or display, the artist will be contacted directly and given the opportunity to approve, decline, or negotiate that use independently.

For artists that choose to sell their work, there will be a 10% host fee collected. We will provide a QR code alongside your image to make buying easier for all parties.
